Pre-election period

This Parliament ends on 30 March. Between then and the general election on 7 May is the pre-election period and the Civil Service communicates less, in line with the General Election Guidance.

So you won't be hearing much from us in the 5 weeks up to the election, unless it’s to provide information essential to continuing the government’s day-to-day work.

This includes @CMAgovUK on Twitter, this blog and LinkedIn.

That doesn't mean we're not doing anything. Our work will continue through the pre-election period. We just won't be talking about it much or engaging with our blog posts in the run-up to the election.
