In this year's annual plan, we said we would step up the pace, scale and impact of our enforcement, as an important part of our mission to make markets work well for consumers, businesses and the economy.
Last month we published our final report following our 2-year energy market investigation, so this is a good time to reflect on the most comprehensive investigation into the sector since privatisation.
Concluding our second year as a new department, we’ve been able to benefit from the groundwork laid last year to create a strong organisational capacity and a targeted project portfolio.
The next financial year will be the CMA’s third full year of operation. We’ve set out our plans and priorities in the consultation on our annual plan for 2016/17 and we want to hear what you think about them.
